What Is That Gurgling Noise In My Cannula And If It's Just Moisture How Do I Dry Things Out?
Using lowflow, 2 LM, when sleeping. Supposed to be getting CPAP rig soon, live 'high and dry' at 9500 ft elevation.
I think the issue might be resolved. As seen in a video, I washed the cannulas and tubes off (body oil builds up quickly!). Then, I took the whole thing outside, grabbed it in the center of the tubing, and slung it round and round to spin the water out. I further blew out the lines by running the generator on 5 l/m for a few minutes. I ordered some new cannulas from Amazon, that should set me up if this 'home remedy' fails. Thanx for getting back to me!😁
Hi James. Welcome to the Forum. You don't say where you live but 9,500 feet elevation is going to present low-pressure breathing issues for you. As in "Waiting to Exhale". For US, it is always easier to breathe IN than to breathe OUT. You should practice the Pursed Lip breathing technique every time you happen to think about IT.
As to the condensation issue, you likely have your compressor machine in a different room from where your nose needs the Oxygen. The warm / cold air difference is creating the water in the tube. Options are - move the machine, elevate or insulate the hose, or warm both rooms to the same temp. The excess water is really not harmful unless there is a concern that it could also become pool for bacteria to grow.
be Well.
