Pulmonary Function Test
Good morning everyone,
My question is when you go for a Pulmonary Function Test do you have to stop taking your inhaler 48hrs before the test.
This scares me a lot because 48hrs is a long time without any protection.
I've started using Trelegy and i find it really helps me with my breathing.
I would like to hear from anyone who's had a Pulmonary Function Test while using Trelegy.
Thanks,
Carmel
@A MyCOPDTeam Member here you have to ask the department of human services they have programs you can apply for
The reason they don't want you to use your inhaler is because they'd like to know what your lung function is without them. Believe me, I know how miserable that could be, but it gives them a good idea of what your inhalers are doing for you and that's always good to know. If you can manage it, that's great. If you can't, you can't. Just tell them and they'll have to deal with it. Either way, you'll give them a baseline they can use going forward, which is what they want. My best guess is that you'll notice some difference, but hopefully not enough to make you thoroughly sob.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member your getting no argument here and yep any way of getting the info outs good but you still have to learn how to say i need and who to say it to
@A MyCOPDTeam Member ya i agree but im afraid one thing we need to learn to be our own advacates like i say its one of those sad but true things
Chad wow every six months. I hate that test although I realize how it’s an important one. Good luck on your upcoming one and hopefully it won’t make you sick. Take care!
