How Do You Deal With Twisted And Pinched Air Hoses?

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
St Louis, MO

Mine keeps getting all twisted. I'm only on oxygen at night. Keep the compressor in the other room. The hot keeps twisting and eventually causes a pinch or fold. I straighten it out every couple days. This is the first hose, only 6 months old.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it time for a new hose already?

I always wind it from the machine towards me. I also buy my 50-foot purple kink-resistant tube from Amazon. it only about six bucks and works great. You will love this tube.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member if you go to Amazon and search purple oxygen tube it should pop up. The tube is kink-resistant and works well. Picture below. It also comes in a 50 foot roll.

Get a bunch of 7-foot hoses and swivel connectors to connect them together to whatever length you want. The smaller lengths are then easier to straighten out than a long 50-foot hose.

I throw mine in the dryer when I first opened the package for about ten minutes it straightened the hose out and makes it more soft. Good luck with yours! I didn’t know about the purple hose at amazon. That sounds great also. Hope you have a breathe easy day!
