Suggestions On Managing Oxygen Hoses From Tangling And Water Leaking Into The Hoses.
My hoses stay tangles and full of moisture. It has been said that water leaking into the hoses can be bad as far as bacteria building up in the hose and the moisture could get into the lungs.
I saw a tip on this site awhile back and it worked very well, when you open a new hose, put it in a mesh bag or a pillow case, still filed up, and throw it in the dryer with a couple of towels for a few minutes. While the hose is warm, have someone hold each end and stretch it out. It will lay very flat and doesn’t tangle so easily. I did this about a month ago and I haven’t had that problem since. I twisted the swivel one day last week. I used to have to do that daily.
I know someone who had an ingenious idea. He owns his house and was able to set up the concentrator in one room and run extra lines from that through the floor and up into the specific areas of each room he sat in. All hoses are UNDER the floor so there are no visible hoses. He came up with the idea due to pets and grand children.
All is happy and safe now.
To take the curls out of your hose,,rotate the swivel connecter ten turns, or so daily,,I rotate mine clockwise, but it depends if you turn right or left during your daily activities! Hope this isn't too con fusing! Try to have hose straight then you will soon see if you are turning it the wrong way ! 🎄🎄Merry Christmas🎄🎄. 🍀🏁
I need to see about a water bottle on mine. I have to keep putting vaseline up my nose because its so dry i cant breathe.
You can ask for a water trap that goes on the end of your tubing it will catch the water then you screw the top off pour water out that will keep it from getting in your nose I use one works great. Ask your oxygen supplier they should give you one. Take care Happy breathing keep on keeping on
