Thanks @A MyCOPDTeam Member, no need to look, I'm okay with a general idea of where to go with it. The cannula nose piece starts getting hard at close to a month and when that happens is when I change it and I clean the nose piece with a alcohol swabs everytime I start a use, I have prep swabs for my needles and my Continuse Glucose Monitor and a box of alcohol swabs lasts about 6 months the way I use them. The long hose is starting to twist up all the time, so it's getting wore out, they cost about $6 and the 7 foot cannulas cost about 69 cents. The last time I bought them I got a couple hundred of them, because when I'm sick I change them more often. I dont use a humidifier with my unit as it's not needed.

Lincare told me to replace the green hose (25 feet) every 90 days. The hose I have now I have been using 120 days and still working good, maybe I am lucky, I do have another one to put on. The cannulas they told me to replace every two weeks. The hardest part is breaking a new one in. I guess I am fortunate, I am on oxygen 24/7, but do take if off to shower.

The conservative answer is every two weeks to change the hose. The provider is supposed to give you the necessary supplies. I've let mine go longer than that with no problems, but the conservatives are probably right, especially for people who tend to catch everything that comes along.

Drape the hose over the shower curtain. It works quite well like that.
