I'm Wondering If Anyone Else Has This Problem - My Voice Seems To Be Getting Hoarse During The Day And At Time, I Even Seem To Lose It.
My voice changes frequently, but I think it is from phlegm on my voice box that is difficult to clear.
Me too, @A MyCOPDTeam Member; I had forgotten about that. I almost don't like using the phone anymore. I also have snuffles and clear my throat a lot on the phone. But if I don't use it, I believe I will lose it. I try to sing, no matter how bad I sound, and I whistle a lot. That has improved over time, and I have to think it's good for something anyway.
I don't use inhalers except every few months I may use an old Spiriva, so it definitely isn't meds that cause mine.
I know certain things that set me off are simply walking outdoors for a few seconds. Pollen? Being in a place where there are fresh flowers, perfumes, candles. Sunday morning I may have a clear voice at first, but 5 minutes in the Sanctuary and I'm done for.
If I don't talk much it's not nearly as bad.
I know that since I got the room air purifier, I'm doing better. It's on my side of the bed and runs all night long, but seldom during the day. 10/18/24
I've had that for quite some time. I think it's from our inhaled meds. Most people are very considerate and understanding. Take your time when talking. Clear your throat when necessary. And don't get flustered.
Mine gets horse and when I try to talk I run out of air and that runs me out of voice.
