I've had them.fitted 5 years ago Just starting to wear out now So surgeon will discuss inserting some in my other lung I will be happy if just replaces the ones I already have It's not a cure But I've been stage 4 for 8 years now Was wrote off as end of life .
Had improvement straight away with mobility breathing and oxygen requirements .
I know not working as well but recent tests sure my lungs function is now back to on par when I was ready to have them done So I'm back to 20 per cent .I'm not sure what I was after but used less oxygen and walked a bit further Never going to do a long distance but breathing was so much easier .Didn't get tested after as COVID hit just after had mine so all phone appointments .
