Does Anyone On Here Use Any Natural Products To Help With Their Breathing? Seems I Read Of Some But Curious If Anyone Else Uses Any Of Them
@A MyCOPDTeam Member, You caught my attention again. I do use mullein leaf, tincture and the tea. It has helped a lot with making my phlegm less and breathing easier. I've tried others that don't do anything.
But in all my research I have never heard of the "Marshmallow Root" I prefer tinctures or teas. But you use the capsules. I was wondering if you do both Mullein and Marshmallow root at the same time.
And have you had any side effects with other medicine as the have warnings about it?
Hi, @A MyCOPDTeam Member - I use a lot of supplements. Not being a doc, or a salesperson, this is not medical advice, and I don’t get a commission, LOL.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member has recently tried mullein in a tea.
I use mullein in a capsule form, and while I can’t tell any difference when I miss a dose, I can’t say it hurts so I keep on taking it.
Mostly, I swear by Marshmallow Root capsules for lung health, and when I’m really struggling with congestion and inflammation, I book an appointment at the halo therapy spa as I find deep breathing inhalations from a salt therapy room really helps with my congestion during the rainy season or when the fire season makes air quality poor.
You can also get a himalayan sea salt therapy pipe for at home or on tge go use, if you find the salt inhalation helpful.
Everyone has things that work better or don’t work at all for their biology - so it’s more a case of try what works for you and keep the ones you find helpful.

To further answer bias, I researched godigit.com which took me to an East Indian company focused on providing insurance products in India and not medical research or services, and their first insurance products are vehicles vs healthcare.
Knowing that someone is involved in the healthcare insurance industry, especially outside the US, triggers a bias in me for hesitating over their medical advice when their primary goal is to sell vehicle insurance outside my home country, way before they get to healthcare.
It may be unfair from other countries views, but bias has to start somewhere to help you thin data down to just that which you and your doctor have found to be most reliable. A bias is only bad if stops you from evaluating the quality of the data received.
Ok, butting out here. I hope my scattershot of an answer helped in someway regarding your marshmallow root supplement question, @A MyCOPDTeam Member.
Happy Thursday, 14-MAR-24.
Part 3, @A MyCOPDTeam Member:
While the results highlighted include clinical study / white paper data from the NIH, the results below it from godigit and yahoo may be less reliable and should be verified before relying on their data. Why? Yahoo is interested in ad revenues, and is more subject to click bait advertisements / influences to stimulate more eyes on inaccurate data for revenues earned.
Similarly, I have no info on godigit’s reliability, so it would need more verification of its sources.

Anyway, and part 2 of my answer, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, some typical research results:
I trust Mt Sinai as a medical research authority, so I find its info is generally reliable.
