Has Anyone Had The Problem Of Their Inogen G5 Not Pulsing The Dose Of 02 When It Should?

Two new ones in the last couple of months and both are the same. I will call and talk with their tech person and see what they say and I don't want it replaced I just want it to work right. I have changed the filters and tried 2 different cannulas but it doesn't help.

Dianna, if you can get your pulmonologist to write a prescription, you have a chance of getting CMS (Medicare) to pay for it. A lot of how successful you are depends on how you order it (the DME you use) and how knoiwledgeable they are about how to do it so Medicare pays.

Just so you know the Inogen G4 only produces a maximum of .63LPM on the highest setting. It's pulse so that does make a difference, but if you need a setting of 2LPM, that probably won't work for you, especially if you intend to use it for exercise or major exertion.

Alice Rose, I'd just keep after them until they send you a unit that works properly. I don't deal with Inogen directly, and have never had to send a unit back, but you need something that works properly! Keep at it until you get what you need!

I hate the pulse action. I didn't know anything when I bought it. It was so expensive to now I'm stuck with it. I need continuous flow so much better.

I have a Philips simply go mini which is great. Never had any problems with it. It only weighs 4 lb and I take it with me everywhere when I leave the house. I'm on oxygen 24/7. Stay well and breathe easy

@A MyCOPDTeam Member I had that issue with mine, That's why I sold it. It Calibrates your breathing sequences and if you go off course it has to Re-Calibrate leaving you without. Notice if you Swallow it shoots a puff. Was having too much trouble breathing at the same time all the time, I don't like the Pulse features

@A MyCOPDTeam Member The Inogen can be refunded within 1 year of purchase. I waited too long. Sold it on Craigslist for a few bucks less than what I paid for it.
