An infusion is an intravenous delivery of a med. What does he believe you should have an infusion for? The only infusion therapy I'm aware of for COPD is for Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, which is a weekly infusion of the protein that Alpha-1s either don't make or don't use properly. I suppose he might want you to get antibiotics through an IV; that might be for a short period of time only. I think you really need to find out what he wants you to get intravenously and why.

I had infusion done for severe allergies. It was administered intermusculer in my upper arm.
Is your Dr talking about this infusion for cops? If so, I'd like to know what the medication is. Thanks

Hi @A MyCOPDTeam Member,My doctor refers to my Brovana, which is inhaled through a diffuser on a nebulizer, as an infusion. Works well! And if you're on Medicare, PartB pays for it.
