I have just finished steroids and antibiotics for an exaserbation but its still there. Can I start a second course of steroids even though its only 12 days since I finished the previous course ?

I would check with your pulmonary Doc. Steroids caused me to have osteoporsis. However I may have died without them

I would be careful with too many steroids unless your pulmonologist recommends it.

I agree, I have had to extend or start steroids over because the first round was not enough....call your doc!

Please read up on all the side effects of all those medications and the long time problems of using them
I'm still having problems because I didn't do my research

I started on Erythromycin and Prednisolone about 4 weeks ago. I finished the course but was still coughing very badly and wheezing. I went back to my GP and he started me on 2weeks of Clarithomycin (I am allergic to penicillin) plus more steroids. I am almost finished my antibiotics and feel 100% better,. Definitely go back to the doctor and tell him you are no better.
