Mucus
When is it time to call the dr. I have a cold or something. Have had it since June 2nd. Have started coughing up this really thick green mucus. Should I call the Dr or try something over the counter.
Yes - call immediately - green mucus is normally sign of an infection and you need to get rid of this before it developed into pneumonia.
Like I said, go to Urgent Care. If you need hospital, they will send you there or send you home with a prescription. I am finding them better than going to emergency and laying around there for several hours before they either send you home or keep you which may not be necessary if you have oxygen, but do something because you could have COPD for several years but a little cold could walk you right out the door of this world.
Kia Ora LindaZellars i also had standin pre antibiotics . I now have to take speciman of mucus to lab to get on right dose of antibiotics. Im starting to feel immune to the pill. Im on 9 % LUNG FUNCTION AN 91% Happy TO be Breathing. Have a great day Linda.
Definitely call the doctor & quick. When you cough up discolored mucous, it's usually an infection. I started coughing up mucous 3 days ago & I'm on an antibiotic and prednisone. Please call your doctor soon.
Sounds like infection definitely call the Dr. you should probably be on anti biotics or something like that. hope you feel better
