Going To A Cold Area When Using A Humidifier With O2 Causes The Mist To Form Drops And Produces A Clog. Is This "normal"??
@A MyCOPDTeam Member. @humidifier. I used the humidifier on my oxygen while in Colorado because the altitude dried me out and at home when I have to be on it 24/7. I had problems with it as well. I spoke to my oxygen company Lincare and they gave me a swiveling link that trapped the excess mositure. It worked alright but I did have times I had to go without the humidifier for periods of time to let the hoses dry out. Then it work again for awhile. Hopes this helps.
The Doctor told me not to use Vaseline in your nose there's "AYR" that you can buy in your drugstore or on Amazon it's a lot cheaper. That's what I use it really works. good luck
Have you tried lightly coating the nostrils inside with Vaseline to stop it drying out and cracking making it bleed?i
I have no idea sorry, I live in Arizona now and I know it is really dry my nose bleeds and the oxygen does not help. Were are you going?
Vaseline is oil based and shouldn't be used with oxygen...ask your supplier for the right stuff to use..I use AYRE..
