When you are prescribed a medication, you need to know what it's for, what it's supposed to do, how long it takes to be effective and what you're supposed do if it doesn't seem to be making any difference. If you don't know those things, you can't make any judgments regarding whether or not you wish to take the med or if you would like to know the alternatives. You need to be knowledgeable about your meds.

My COPD nurse told me to drop the Atrovent as it often makes things worse. I did, and the feeling of breathing over corrogated iron stopped immediately. I just use my ventolin for rescue now, much better and more effective, for me anyway.
