Anyone Have Copd Stem Cell Therapy???? How Are You Doing Today. Did Your Hospital Gathered Data From Research To Decide Your Treatment.
I would like information on stem cell treatment to be applied for COPD.. Anyone have this treatment done? Thank you, Savannahgeorgia
Hi Jean: Just read your statement about stem cells. However, on the other side I did try Stem Cell Treatments at the Tampa Lung Institute after my second lung exasperation and hospital stay. In February, 2014 I was on daily oxygen and did not want to be. Everything I read, was once you get on it, your lungs get dependent, and it is very difficult to get off. I know some people just have to have oxygen and that is alright, however, I was discussed with the same old thing from traditional medicine. I always loved when I was told, " you have COPD and there is not a cure, you shouldn't have smoked". You think!!. Well traditional medicine only prescribes tried and true options and have a hard time thinking outside the box. However, I did some investigation on my own. I found a group on the web called STEM CELL PIONEERS. If anyone wants to have an open mind, read their website and you will hear some wonderful success stories. Yes the treatments are expensive and no insurance does not cover it. But just like any other options we have as COPD suffers, some things work for some and some things don't work for others. Stem cell transplants have been used in every part of medicine for years, who knows in the future maybe someday, if there are enough people who give it a try and are successful or have even a little bit of improvement, maybe traditional medicine will look at it closer and give COPD patients another option to try. Currently, I am not on oxygen and have not been for almost two years. Stem Cells may not be a cure, but it has helped me feel better in many ways.
My o2 levels run from 96 to 98. I still suffer with sob with exertion and still on my inhalers, but I am willing to try anything to improve my lifestyle as long as God lets' me be here.
Best wishes to all COPD suffers.
Mary Ellen
There is no approved stem cell treatment for COPD anywhere in the world. There are lots of places that do it and tell you it works, but there have been NO CLINICAL TRIALS that have shown any measurable improvement. It's a scam and the only point is to make your bankroll smaller. There are seven studies going on currently in the world on stem cells and COPD and only one in the US.

hi colleen, have you had the stem cell therapy yet? I had it over six months ago, so far do not see much improvement, but I have been in end stage for a very long time, lung capacity is 27%. I was told not to expect much change, I was asked what I hoped to accomplish, I only would like to take a 5 min shower instead of 2 min. and to walk my dogs, which that does not look to promising at this point. This clinic never called or nothing since I had it done.well take care will hopefully try to keep in touch.
Thanks much, I had stem cell therapy Nov 7 . Just went to my Dr.'s today and I have improved 12% Already- I am thrilled. How did it work for you?
