Can Paint Fumes Effect Ur Copd
can paint fumes effect my copd as just had my bathroom painted and my chest feels really tight
Absolutely. You should avoid anything that can trigger SOB. I have changed my hairspray and deodorant to non-aerosol types. Some cleaning products can also cause problems
i so some small hobby wood working and yes the paint, stains, and clear coat bother me. i have to hold off on these things in the cold because i need to have a fan in the widow blowing out for ventilation.
The list has extended since Susan's was written. My specialist says: No chemical fumes; no crowds; no shopping centres or supermarkets; no smoke; no cold air; no northerly winds; no vehicle exhausts; no places where people might have colds or flus. Hot air can be difficult but it kills off winter germs and illnesses. I virtually live inside my house or the hospital; not pleasant but better than suffering badly in hospital all the time. We get help with cleaning and gardening ( I love gardening ) because of chemical ingredients, and I have to leave shopping, etc to my husband, who retired to care for me. I no longer drive because I'm concerned about the strong meds I'm on and the anxiety I suffer. Do indoor exercises ( can't breathe outside ) doing breathing and weights, but I struggle to breathe so much some days I just sit and do nothing. No real social life, but don't know how long I will be able to continue.
one of my worse attacks came when we painted our living room. I can't handle bleach and windex any more ...can't wear perfume, have to use unscented everything, someone with heavy perfume or a yankee candle shop will send me right to the rescue inhaler
you should ask your Dr. about use of hair spray. l wouldn't use it myself for, what its doing to your hair, it will do the same to your lungs.
