Anyone Have A Compression Fracture At T8? How Did It Impact Your Emphysema And What Are You Doing To Manage Your Symptoms?
@A MyCOPDTeam Member I've heard that vertebral fracture can happen in COPD/emphysema patients when they have osteoporosis (increased with the use of corticosteroids), this is called Compression fracture, which are often discover by chest Xray.
You have to be patient, these fractures take time to heal but they do. The nucleus (which separate the vertebra) will dry and then wont hurt anymore. My mother had it, and it has taken time (some months) before the pain and discomfort vanished, but it did.
Take good care of yourself, comfort and pamper yourself.
