Hey Woody, my platelet count runs high due to multiple steroids. Other medications, including NSAIDs, can also raise the count. Luckily, I've been on Eliquis (an anticoagulant) for years, and that decreases clotting risk, which is the main problem with a high platelet count. Best of luck to you!

had high platelet count last year but the drs ,apart from ringing me to tell me i had it, did nothing. not heard a word about it since. same thing happened with my iron/pottassium/vit D ... and a few other low things. they rang told me. i told them im housebound/ so vit D will be low., as will most of the others, i dont eat red meat. they put me on iron tablets /been on them 18 months.. so stopped them for 3 weeks. as i was getting nose bleeds. not had any since. so back on them . as was tired again all the time, much better and so far so good re nose bleeds
but not heard a thing from the drs. i now drink goats milk and eat more bananas for more pottassium. take vitamins D3 and E ,the latter for my dry skin. but drs dont seem bothered,
