WHAT,S An Average Oxygen Level
I think it is all relative as far as healthy numbers. For me, I usually get between 88-94, but it goes up to 96 when I am over oxygenated and down to low 80's sometimes. My doctor said 90 and above are safe numbers.
My idea of a normal O2 sat is between 93 and 97. My doctors want me to keep it as high as possible but it sometimes drops in to the middle 80 a and I have hypoxia and become very afraid and have no make myself relax.
Hello MONO.
I don't know if Average is the correct way to describe a SAFE Oxygen level for You. But if you had a whole room of COPD people like US, that number would probably be around 90%. Give or take 3% for accuracy because the finger-thingy is not made to NASA specs. Just like having voting errors πΊπΈ
BUT any way, the better way to look at this is MIN and MAX saturation. This is how your Doc will help determine if you need Supplemental Oxygen support during your daily activities.
Here is a quick article to read and have a chat at the next visit if YOUR numbers don't stay within this SAFE range:

be Well
I average between 90- 100 but I do drop into the low 80's and have to bring it back up with PLB. Anything below 87 is bad, as your internal organs start getting cut off from oxygen.
Every persons average is different according to what they are doing.
