Hey@Agrav. I heat ya about the smoking. I did not have the stressors that you're going thru, but I had my issues with recreational drugs, which only kept me smoking my brains out. Working in steel mills for 35 years didn't help. So it was no wonder I got COPD. Constantly coughing up crap, I'd light one up (oh yeah, smoling weed all this time) and spend the first half of it coughing and coughing. Well, in 2016, I finally had had enough. I did Chantix, patches,(my skin was allergic to the adhesive and had to stop using them) I was getting ready to open up my next pack and set it down on the coffee table and there they sit to this day. I had some minor withdrawl issues mentally.not really any physically. I can still have a beer when I want and not need to smoke. Never thought I could do it, but, 8 years later...
You can do it. I understand there's things. Not sure about having Covid, but think about what you've been thru already and you made it....you can do this, Think about how good you'll feel, the feeling of accomplishment. Just do it!! If it doesn't take hold this time, try, try, again!! Keep in touch my friend.

Hello, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, you have a lot to deal with. You asked some questions, and you know when you ask questions, you will probably get responses. Many of your issues I cannot address, because I haven't been there and wouldn't know how to deal with them.
I smoked for 50 years because I picked up the first cigarette and lit it. The last one that I smoked I picked up and lit it. No one told me to. I extended my smoking for many years, because I couldn't stop blaming someone else for it. Someone frowned at me, so I smoked about it. I got worried about my health, so I smoked about it. I also smoked about my rebellious son and my own mother who just couldn't get things right.
That's it for what it's worth. So go ahead and let me have it with both barrels. If I didn't care about you, I wouldn't go out on a limb this way. I wish you all the success in the world dealing with smokes and your COPD issues. I understand, it's bad; but if you take full responsibility for your smoking, you can make a fresh start right there. All my best.❤️

If it doesn't take hold this time, try,try again. Yes this statement is true. What did it for me was Thrive nicotine gum! It took away all cravings. Do you have a hospital run stop smoking program? It will give you the products that you need to quit. I live in Ottawa, Ontario. Canada.
