I had several interactions when I took prednisone (not fun). I made the decision to continue taking it because my exacerbations were becoming more frequent and harder to control. It causes exactly same thing for me that you describe. I have not had any side effects with antibiotics'.

If that excuse of a Doctor felt like you needed probiotics then the IDIOT should have said so.I have Crohn's Disease and COPD. Gut health is important and antibiotics may have an adverse effect on your digestive system. Do you have a Gastroenterologist or a Dietician. There are some sources of probiotics. Search online, ask your Pharmacist, look in the Dairy section or the juice section in your grocery store. I'm not a medical minded person but the apparent lack of concern is very disturbing and I hope you find someone who is willing to help you out with your issue before something else goes wrong.

A few people can have reactions to antibiotics. I hope you have a good doctor to discuss this with.

antibiotics give me panic attacks and I dread taking them . So your not the only one that has this type of side effect with antibiotics. So I would disagree with your doctor and do your research that they can cause people anxiety .
