Does Anyone Use An In Home Powerbank As Backup For Oxygen Machine?
Thanks for the info. Now you do the same. A backup plan never entered my mind until today when the machine quit due to the outlet it was plugged into died. I had to call 911 who found the problem and moved the machine to another. It took about an hour to stabilize me since I refused to go to the hospital. A backup plan is definitely needed. I'll contact the electric company Monday and the company I rent my breathing equipment from also. We all need to be prepared especially being on 24/7 oxygen. Sending thoughts and prayers to all living in this hell.
Hi Nancy. I do NOT - but probably should consider IT! 😉
In researching a home Solar panel system, I uncovered some smaller units which can be installed for only one circuit in your home.
BUT we are not talking DIY, Home Depot or Best Buy here! A qualified electrician (familiar with solar installations) will be the best advisor if you decide to take that route. Your state may also offer a medical equipment backup unit under their Utility assistance / Energy savings initiatives. These are smaller, about the size of an end table that would be located near your bed side. Here's an example:

At any rate, if the backup unit you consider cannot run a "dorm" refrigerator for 8+ hours, it likely won't work for your concentrator either.
