@A MyCOPDTeam Member Hi my doctor has prescribed antidepressant (Sipralexa) and anxiolytic very low dose, it helps but doesn't really solve our problem which is COPD; but it makes us taking problems more smoothly. Hugs 🌸

Thank you for answering me, Chris! That's exactly how I feel! Now, I don't feel so alone - didn't know COPD could actually do this to you. I don't want to take meds to correct it - I try to hide it from family and friends and for the most part, I think that I do a fairly good job. I will have a scotch and water occasionally. That will help calm and relax me.

I have just started with the slight depression part of this lovely disease. I have always been a mild mannered, go with the flow type of person, but now I'm finding that things are really getting to me more than they should; things people say, things I can't do. For now I guess I just try to figure out what I can do to get out of this "blue funk" and move on with the day. I don't want to become dependent on medication for this either, and for me alcohol would not be the answer, but to each his own. I would certainly appreciate some words of wisdom on this subject also, so thank you for asking the question @A MyCOPDTeam Member and thanks to @A MyCOPDTeam Member and @A MyCOPDTeam Member for your answers. I am finding it very hard to get motivated to do anything and I know that's the depression part of this illness. My ability to have a spotless house, cooking and laundry all done and everything perfect has definitely taken a turn for the worse and I hate it, but lack the motivation to do anything about it. Well thank you for listening to me rant on about me, me, me. I hope we all have a better day today! Chris
