I have acid reflux and never had that as a side affect

I have what I call foamy saliva. Used to have a lot of it right before I was going to throw up. Went from 10 mg med to 20 mg omeprazole to 40 mg. It help a lot, but I found that better diet and lifestyle habits cut out almost all nausea/vomiting. I even went back to 20 mg of omeprazole..
I have heart and kidney issues besides copd, and believe my foamy saliva is directly related to those things. My suggestion would be to get your vitals checked by some good specialists. But also eat sensibly, and sip (barely!) water if you're feeling nauseated while in bed. Sit up if necessary. Don't eat right before bedtime. So many things we can contribute to our own well-being. Get a second opinion on what could be going on with you @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I have known a lot of people with reflux but none have ever mentioned frothy mucus. Are you going to an ear, nose and throat specialist or is it your family doctor that is prescribing your medication? I hope today is a better day my friend. Hugs, Chris
