Coughing With COPD

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hinckley, UK

I have recently been coughing, but when I finish coughing it feels like my windpipe has closed and I start choking. Is this a symptom of COPD.

I got the excessive phlegm when I had radiation therapy for my throat cancer. Tons of it and very thick and stringy--totally disgusting. They just told me to drink more water, which did help to thin it out a little, but I was glad when the radiation was over with because then the phlegm went away too @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I hope by now your problem has gotten better? Chris

@A MyCOPDTeam Member and @DennisCourts I don't have the problem yet, but you should maybe ask your doctor about that. Or your doc may even refer you to an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist if it has nothing to do with COPD. Just a suggestion.
