Are You Frustrated With Finding Effective Treatments For COPD?
I wish the USA would stand up and smell the coffee about healthcare for all, @A MyCOPDTeam Member.

I feel very fortunate to live in Canada. I have a great pulmonologist who follows me twice a year (more if I need it) and after I meet the $600.00 deductible, all my medications are covered by a government plan that is in place. It is an income tested service, but as a pensioner, I qualify. I feel that health care is a basic human right and not something only available to the wealthy. I am in a rehab program that is part of the health care system. I don't pay for it. Yes, we have some issues in our health care system, but everyone is treated equally, no matter what their bank balance.
I've read some publications in the medical litterature... and indeed, like said above, COPD and emphysema are not well considered, taken into account, support and treated holisticly (a contrario as cancer is) because medics and paramedics consider most of our diseases "self inflicted" (= tobacco), and on the other hand it doesn't "pay/return" much on Health organization, and plus it's quite true that at a late stage there isn't much to do (Z valves ? Lung transplant ?). This might change in the very near future as more and more people (the boomers) suffer from it, and deserve, like any disease, the best care, respect and consideration.🙏
My Pulmonologist is great Just ordered Dupixient which is $3000 a shot Just got approved by the company for free He thinks this will really help me and I hope it does Staring it next week
yes i am frustrated . i think they could do a lot more for copd patients but they don't dedicate enough time/research and money towards it because most of the time it is a medical issue that we have brought on by our own actions
