I Have Used So Many Aerosol Inhalers, None Of Them Seem To Work. Can't Seem To Get Rid Of The Congestion In My Lungs.

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed at between Stage 2-3 (moderate to severe). Am very
short of breath and always extremely fatigued. Can anyone tell me what works
for them. Many thanks!

Have you tried Breztri? It's a 3 in 1 including corticosteroids.
I switched last year and have had a marked improvement.

Steaming hot showerer or old fashioned towel over steam pot of water helps me or silly but works too is open dishwasher soon as its done and breath in steam. It always helps loosen the mucus for me and I usually get up at least a small amount.Ginger tea is great too.. drink 2 to 3 cups if you can. Hope that helps some😃

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, 3 hours of exercise weekly is great! I don't really think Mucinex is all that effective either, but it helps me to take one a day for awhile, then drink 6-8 glasses of water, then exercise. That loosens up the 'stuff' a bit, nothing dramatic. Sometimes in one of my more poetic moods I call it all a crap shoot, but it helps some.
I always thought Stages 2-3 were pretty good. Never heard it called moderate to severe. I learned something new.

Thank you for your reply - yes, I do exercise, I take 1 hour classes 3X weekly. I have used Mucinex, it’s not really terribly effective. Trying my best to stay in the game, but there’s much discomfort and overwhelming fatigue. Thank you for your input, much appreciated!

Exercise as soon as you're able. I know it sounds counter-productive, but exercise begets more energy, which makes you exercise a little longer. I would check with your doctor first, so he can deal with the congestion. Congestion alone might respond to Mucinex. Do you have an infection?
