I'm confused about how you measure your steps when you walk. You probably have an app on your phone or something like that, but I don't have one, so I just counted steps one day instead of estimating blocks or miles. 2,000 steps for me is a pretty good long walk, yet I'm hearing you say you're walking 5-10,000 steps a day. Am I measuring incorrectly? I consider a step one of my good paces. (Maybe 20-24 inches) If I took 5,000 of those I don't know if I would live through it, lol! Thanks for any feedback.

Jeff, that is correct, you need that cool air. If you don't have the A/C, at least drink plenty of cool water or munch crushed ice on the hotter days, even have an ice pack in your freezer. You can do okay, just be aware when you start getting too hot.

I find it best to pace myself and not try to do too much because I became exhausted and I find it hard to get everything done and I have to force myself to sit down and leave it alone. The aches and pains in my neck and shoulders are disturbing to me and make it tough to get stuff done. Grocery shopping has gotten to the point where it wears me out. By the time I get done shopping, put the stuff on the belt from the cart, put it back in the cart after it is scanned and bagged, take it out and get it in the car I feel drained. When I get back home, I have to unload the car and get the groceries from the car to my apartment, get it in the house and put the stuff away! I try not to go overboard when I get groceries but I can't resist the sales on food I like to keep in stock and things I really enjoy. That's what takes me overboard. Sometimes it takes me a couple of days to get everything put away because it's a big job now. I had hired a lady to help me out with housework and she was supposed to help me with grocery shopping but I don't think that she is worth $15. an hour if I have to babysit her so she does things right and not waste time doing things that are unnecessary so I decided not to have her do anything else. If I have to go behind her and do what she didn't do, I might as well save the money and do it myself. I work until I need to get a break. Then I stop until I get ready to go again. It's not the way I want but it is manageable and the cash I save is used for emergencies and extra expenses.
