Just Realized My Real Name Is Being Used For All I Do On This Site. I Don't Know How Comfy I Am W/that.
I suppose too late to make a change cuz I would look like a different person. Anybody have advice about that. I notice most ppl. dont use complete names.
RollandO you brought up a very important aspect of names and the entities whether it's the IRS or insurance companies or whatever. I've always heard that you're supposed to watch and be real careful about what you put out there on the internet because employers scan the internet. That's very good advice. Thank you very much. You have a great weekend!!
Yes just take your last name off or find yourself a user name that fits. You ! :)
Hello Kris. Take a look at Settings (not My Profile) on the two-stripe menu at the top left. There, you can become an (alter-Egoed) person in this Forum!
I changed my information early on because of a tip in another Disability forum. They pointed out how (ex-) employers, insurance companies, even the IRS (😎?) can easily troll these forums and find out how much our lifestyle really matches up with our medical conditions. I'm sure more than a FEW have lost benefits they were entitled to due to "harmless" sharing of their activities. Just like on FaceBook.
Anyway, while I would love to brag on the things I wish I could still do - I am not the same as I used to be, for sure. Your mileage may vary, indeed. be Well.
I have always used my own name on sites and don't feel uncomfortable doing that. Knocking on 80, guess I'm too late to change. Still, it's horses for courses.
;)
