Dana3, That would be a question for your insurance provider. Like mine I could seek a second opinion and contact another specialist. But If I don't have one to begin with I would need a referral to get a visit. But hey you could pay the bill out of your pocket if you want.

My pulmo set mine up several years ago. Insurance probably won't pay w/o a doctor's referral. Maybe your GP will prescribe it for you. Won't hurt to try.

I am pretty sure you have to be referred by your Pulminologist. Especially if you want Medicare to pay. They only pay for the 1st phase too. Good luck. It helps a lot!
