Morphine is sometimes prescribed to help with feelings of "air hunger" toward the end of COPD. It's not always prescribed, but is very helpful for people who are really struggling with being sob all the time.

I am using Oramoph but was prescribed this for gallbladder pain only then found out it is prescribed for COPD ; Which I have

The morphine doesn't reduce the feelings; it just makes it not matter very much. If you're still not comfortable, ask about increasing the dose just a bit.

Oramorph is not typically prescribed for COPD unless one is very close to the end of life. As for dosages, you need to talk with your doc.

Thank you Jean. I don’t see much difference, but am taking a very small dose at the moment, so maybe that’s the reason. Just wondered about others’ experience with it.
