If you have the vest, I'd suggest you talk with your pulmonologist about your situation. If the doc doesn't know, or you're not sure that the explanation you got makes sense (and remember, some docs will just say "I don't know", but others make stuff up, so if what you're hearing doesn't make sense, beware!) call the people at Hill Rom and ask them. My understanding is that the vest should be use as a part of a daily routine to get the mucus up and out, not just every once in a while.

Yes you are so right on doc answer.Thank you Jean I feel like best way to get better is keep using it ..reviews I looked at...most folks takes 6
Months to a year for full effect.I think just maybe not using a high setting for prrssure would help The machine. DEFINATELY moves mucus and makes me cough generally 20 to 30 minutes after treatment.on most days.My GP doc was concerned it would make my rib pain worse from pnuemonia so she told me not to use got 2 to 3 weeks.
Which i did then used for week and then rib and back pain started again..but back on prednisone and seem better and the pain along with machine use made me question whether using it was causing a relapse of symptoms.
So your answer helped with my indecision.Thank you
