If Someone Has Had Valves Put In Their Lungs Could You Please Share With Me How Much They Improved Your Breathing?
And I should read my text before throw them out there. I hope you can understand exactly what I'm saying. I talked into microphone cause. I'm not a very good texture
I was totally interested!! But then I read that i'm not eligible because I have bronchostasis, and the mucus doesn't move so it will clog the valves...so excited for those of you that have them and are getting them!💜
I had the valves done on Feb the 6th . It does take time for them to work . The deflated the bad part of my lung so that the other lobe would expaned . I am seeing a difference now. My co2 was 90 to 91 now it is up to 94 . I do have a followed up in about a month and a half. The beginning was a little scary because they keep you in the hospital for 4 days or so sometimes longer so they can watch over you. I was in the Hospital from tuesday the 6th till saturday morning. I hope this helped. Have a great day.
I have not had the procedure, but the valves were FDA approved in 2018 and many people have had them inserted since then. Results have been varied; the most successful cases report improvements in FEV1 of up to 20 to 30 points; in other cases there has been little to no improvement. There are evaluations done prior to the procedure to determine eligibility for the procedure and with experience, the criteria is becoming much more clear as to whether the valves will work.
