Does Anyone Have Trouble With A Hiatal Hernia That Is Making It Hard To Take A Deep Breath? Suggestions?

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
White Haven, PA

I’ve switched to a hernia friendly diet (I think I was drinking too much diet soda). I also found out I have osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in my back which also inhibits my breathing
. Bad month. Still feel exhausted and barely doing anything. Help!
Thanks

What does your doc recommend? Tailoring your diet is good, but you only mentioned soda. Have you talked with a dietitian or a nutritionist about this? I'd suggest you get some advice from people who actually work with health professionals who deal with hernias, osteroporosis and osteoarthritis.

Thank you. I am under the care of a pulmonologist and bone doc. I had never heard of a hernia affecting copd & wondered how f anyone else had experienced this. I cut out “bad foods” with the sodas too but I think I was drinking too much soda
Again thanks for the input. Take care
