Symbicort is a combination of a long acting beta antagonist (bronchodilator) and an inhaled corticosteroid. Atrovent is a short acting mustarinic agent. They are two different classes of medicine aimed at different receptors, so I believe you can take them one right after the other. You might check with your pulmonologist or your pharmacist to be sure......
