I don't get any thing on my chest anymore even my cough is gone my copd nurse put me on carbocisteine tablets they worked for me you take I tablet 3 times a day I've got not muchus on my chest it's amazing good luck take care xxx 😊

I don't mean to be a naysayer here, but sometimes more than 60-70 oz of water a day can be bad for you, depending on other health issues you may have. I would check with my doctor just to be safe. My doctor allows me no more than 60-64 oz. at this time.

Lots and Lots of water for starters. Then more water. 60 to 120 ounces a day and more is better. Mucinex helps. Learning the Huff cough is important. Nebulizing saline solution often works well. Percussion, either manual or using a vest can help and postural drainage is often used.
