Would A Oxy POC Be Helpfull?.it Would Be Nice To Venture Out Of The House
I believe the drugist would not give meds to you without a Dr,s script
@A MyCOPDTeam Member Rose generally the larger the tank, the more 02 it holds and the longer it will last regardless of the setting. Unfortunately, the tradeoff with tanks is weight and portability versus time. Here's a good site to give you an approximation of how long tanks of various sizes will last: https://www.oxygenconcentratorstore.com/breathe...
This should give you reasonable expectations.
Whether a POC would be helpful depends a lot on how much 02 you need. The most powerful POC that can be carried produces 1.26 LPM. If you need more than that, you'll need one of the larger ones that produce continuous 02 as well as pulse dose and require a cart to move them around. Frankly, if you can carry tanks, that's the way to go. Talk with your 02 provider about options.
Thank you so much @A MyCOPDTeam Member I am always curious about so many things because I came here some months ago knowing absolutely nothing. I still don't have a pulmonologist or even RT to answer questions so I always bring them here. Oh, and I'm on the waiting list for rehab but it will be early next year âšī¸
@A MyCOPDTeam Member is our resident authority about this and a lot of other things as well đ @A MyCOPDTeam Member do you have any stats about what size and weight tank will give you longest output? I realize the settings would be different but is there a way to know 1 hour or 4 hour etc? I think @A MyCOPDTeam Member uses only green tanks so maybe he will jump in.
