What Piece Of Equipment Is Best. For Getting Your Lung, Legs And Arms Back Is Shape
After surgery I couldn’t breathe. I thought I would need oxygen 24/7. My pulmonologist said use that plastic breathe thing they give you in the hospital 10 times every hour. I did that and in weeks did the 6 minute walk at 96 oxygen!!!!!! I use 2# weights and do the upper exercises every second day. Info lower exercise every other day. I am now so much better!! It’s not difficult. I’m 73 and was in terrible shape after 2 big surgeries in February.? I spent the summer in Europe. Anything is possible. Go for it!
I used a seated stepping machine (nu step) at rehab, but could not afford one for home use. I purchased a similar seated stepper from Teeter, called the Teeter Freestep that I could afford. It is currently sitting in my garage in a box awaiting someone to come set it up for me, but I have high hopes that it will solve my indoor exercise problem. I can't use a treadmill because of my arthritic knees - I do better actually walking on the ground. With my bad knees the PT's put me on the nu step and seated exercise bike instead of the treadmill. The steppers move your arms and legs. You might try some sessions at pulmonary rehab and see what equipment they suggest for you and what you like best.
tread mill I just walk as much as I can walked 1 mile today
I like the treadmill, but the Nu-step is good as well for a good workout from the seated position.
