What Do You Do For Back Up Oxygen If There Is A Power Outage?
If you are totally dependent upon oxygen 24/7, what do you do if there is a power outage? My mom uses a concentrator that is run by electricity only and a small portable unit with 2 hours of battery time.
Thank you.
I use oxygen always and have a in home compressor. My oxygen provider suggested I keep 5 canisters of oxygen at home at all times in case the power goes out. I’ve had them now for 2 years just sitting in the kitchen in case I need them.
I have an oxygen cylinder that I can use as a back up .I have a transporter and a potable machine. The cylinder is for standby
I am looking into getting a portable device because it's becoming harder to manage my breathing by myself i sometimes feelvand think i might not be able to at times but so far have manage but that means very little movement no exercise loss of time with grand children
Your best bet is to call your resource group and ask them to drop off 3 etanks, for emergency
They should have brought two or three large E tanks for emergencies when they brought the concentrator. If they didn't, call them on Monday and ask them to deliver them to you ASAP.
