Could A Cat Have An Effect On My C I P D ?
I have c o p d. , I’ve inherits cat last June , and my emphzma, has gotten bad , I could barely walk anywhere? Could the cat be causing my condition to worsen?
Absolutely. Pet dander is often a trigger for COPD exacerbations. With cats the big issue is the litter box because of the dust it creates when you clean it or change it. If you have cats, the recommendation is that someone else change the litter, not you! There are many people who have found that once they get rid of the pets and all the accompanying dander, their COPD improves significantly. Others insist on keeping them. It's a choice......you have to decide what's best for you. I like breathing, so my choice was no pets and it does make a difference for me.
If you smoke having COPD, do not plan on having any quality of life.
Life is challenging with COPD, I can not imagine how one gets through each day while smoking.
Anyone can quite the habit, I did after over 50 years of smoking. Was it easy, of course not, but had I not quit I would not been able to survive the past year.
Make up your mind, think I can do it. Good luck and GodBless
Sure could.check with your doctor.
Sure if you are allergic to it
A friend of mine has a cat and a dog, I went to his house once and I won't go back unless I stay outside because I can't breath in his house. It doesn't bother him but I felt like I was trying to breathe small sharp pins. My throat hurt and I was very short of breath... the cause is his animals
