What Is Best Floor Cover For COPD? Carpet Or Tile?

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
Pensacola, FL

What is your opinion about the amount of dust in a house whole if you have carpet or tile. I think carpet may be best except when vacuuming. Will dust be more easily airborne with tile? Have ceiling fans going all the time. I hope someone has had experience with both. Have carpet now thinking about going to tile.

If dust is an issue for you, then tile is certainly a better choice., Not all people with COPD have issues with dust.

Not included are you able to walk on tile or hard wood floor? If not, perhaps look into indoor outdoor (durable and easy to take care of. I had a great tunnel vacumn with a hepa filter and recently went to a sharp or dyson which would keep you active because you could dust everything. (under the couch and everything) (even your hard wood or tile floor.

I have wood floors, easy to clean and warmer then tile. I would not go any other way.
