Trevor, yes! Do take the O2 if it's offered. Use it to exercise and build your stamina and strength up. You should feel a bit better, and it will take longer to become sob with the O2, though it probably won't relieve that altogether. What it will do is help you go longer and more comfortably. If your O2 sats go down as measured by your oximeter, turn the O2 up. If your sats are up and you're still sob, do pursed lip breathing and slow down or stop to recover. As long as your sats are up, you can go for as long as you can even if you are sob and it won't hurt you. It'll be uncomfortable, but you won't be doing any damage to yourself.

There are man people in the UK with COPD and many health care professionals who are concerned about it. I was asked to attend COPD10, held in Birmingham a year ago in June, and there were many, many people from the UK and all over Europe in attendance as well as a number of us from the US. I do know that the requirements for getting O2 is different in the UK, as it is in many countries. I believe that the US in one of the few that uses the 88% O2 saturation level as the cutoff.

That said, here's the link to how you make a complaint: https://www.england.nhs.uk/contact-us/complaint/ Good luck!

Ask your doctor for something for your panic attacks I take something because it helped my breathing. The doctors realize that when you start getting out of air you panic. It doesn't have to be much but it's just enough that it makes you keep going and say you can do this I didn't want to go out of my house either I still don't go out a lot I stop driving. I was afraid that if something happened and I got in an accident I would hurt somebody and I can never forgive myself. I sure wish your dad wasn't so stubborn cuz there's help out there he's got to realize that you need him. It's very hard to quit smoking I've been 8 months now and I still get Cravings so bad that I want to scream LOL. The doctor could probably help them with patches that's how I quit. I hope when you went out you had a good day and yes winter setting in here too and I do wish we were closer you almost sound like you could be my son. I have three children my daughter is 40 my oldest boy is 38 and my youngest is 33 with three grandchildren between them. Trevor when I get up in the morning I surprise myself I don't sleep very well I don't know how about you. My doctor told me to take melatonin so I do but I'm also on a lot of other medications so I got to be careful thank God for that Pharmacy in UK because here in the US my medications were $700 a month out of pocket. But with the pharmacy over there they're like (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) a month. Please make sure you go for everything you're supposed to talk to the doctor about the panic attacks because that is normal with COPD that's nothing that's unusual I'm sending you a hug for sure let me know how you're doing with your breathing exercises my insurance won't pay for it so but they pay for a nurse to come and see it once a week for an hour and we watch TV LOL and I'm serious I don't know. Give your father a hug for me and tell him he's got to get out of his stubborn mode cuz you need them God bless and breathe easy

I'm sorry you had to get rid of your pop but if it means that you're breathing better then we have to do what's best for you I am so glad to know that you are okay I've been asking everybody if they've heard from you. I was so worried actually my doctors told me that I shouldn't have any animals but trying to rehome animals here is very hard because you don't know what they're going to do with them my diamond is 7 years old three of my cats are in their teen years and the one is three. UK needs to realize that you are real people and that you need help with the medicines I have been very lucky to find the global Pharmacy they have been extremely good and much cheaper then any of the pharmacies in the United States. I've been praying that I would hear from you and I'm so glad how is your dad I know you said he was sick. Please keep in touch Gene also had not heard from you cuz I contacted her so I see that she's that you're okay I'm sending hugs please let me know how you make out with your meds they're looking to do a double lung transplant on me but we'll see what happens if I can hang in there that long I'm a lot older than you are my dear please let me know how you're doing scream holler do whatever you have to to get your meds and to get attention for this I know they have to have help in the UK God bless breathe easy
