Copd

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭
Glasgow scotland

I have mild copd.
Use two inhalers.
September i had chest infection which has left to with copious amount if clear phlegm and cough.
Have to use salbutamol too much to help me to expel phlegm.
Had two courses of steroids and antibiotics.
Stopped smoking for two years and FOOLISHLY STARTED AGAIN. Six month ago.
The more I try to quit cigarettes the more i smoke.
Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

First of all you must get it in your head that the cigs. are killing you. They are the reason your in the shape your in. Than throw them away chew gum or use a hard candy. That's the way i quit after smoking over 40 years. If i can quit so can you. Get your mind right. It's about 50% mental and 50% habit.Do it for your family but most of all do it for yourself.Keep me inform how it's going remember YOU CAN DO THIS

I to started up smoking again. It's an never ending battle. My chest pains and muscle spasms are the worst. I'm going to quit again, hopefully this will be the last time. Don't beat yourself up, I'm in the same boat. God bless
