Salt Lamps

A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Does anyone use a salt lamp to help with their COPD.

Do they work?

What benefits have you received from them?

Thank you in anticipation of your always good advice.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member - less morning headaches from congestion, I believe.

It's a lamp, about $19 retail, that has a low wattage bulb (think christmas tree bulb, about 7 watts) inside it. As the bulb warms the salt cavern in the lamp, it gives off salt fumes that help turn the positive air ions into negative ions. Many folks believe that the lamp helps to cleanse the air, and aids breathing.

My headaches in the morning are gone, so I'd have to say it's helping.

I have mine on my headboard, and run it 24x7x365.

You can order these online, or find them at stores like Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Hope this info helps, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, and @A MyCOPDTeam Member.

I have had my salt lamp now for awhile and I truthfully can say I don't see any difference.
