Re Pneumothorax After BLVR
I have recently had A BLVR procedure which appeared to go well & my specialist was happy , however I have unfortunately fallen into the approx 30% who have a Pneumothorax ( collapsed lung ) shortly after ~ not much fun !!! Has anyone had experience of a collapsed lung ~ any first hand info would be appreciated ~ in hospital !
My prayers are for you. God Bless you
Learning more each day - Thanks !
I had 2 Valves removed today to assist my lung to re inflate , they will replace them in a few days & hopefully with these 5 valves in my lung I will start noticing an improvement - This Pneumothorax was quite an eye opener & an education for me - so Onwards & Upwards !
I was drinking a cup of coffee about 10 years ago,and I went to the floor in such pain I thought I was having a heart attack. It was a collapsed lung, and it was scary. Soon after,I was experiencing shortness of breath and I suspected a slower collapsing of my lung. I went to ER and sure enough,my lung was about 30% collapsed. This time they did a bleb removal, and basically removed 1/3 of my lung.
I had a spot on my lung and my pulmonary doc did not want to do a biopsy because he feared my lung would collapse. They did a needle biopsy, and guess what it did. I have never been in so much pain in my life. I cannot remember a lot about it was just so glad my docs(I had 3)did not find cancer. Sorry I can't be much help. Hope your hospital stay is a short one and you are much better real soon.
