Have been reading articles about COPD having headaches as symptoms that go along with it. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything that eases it?. I am allergic to motrin.

you may be a retainer and that is very dangerous. Go to your doctor and find out if you are retaining carbon dioxide. some copd people cant breathe it out when they are sleeping. A headache is a clear indicator!

I have headaches every day...sometimes migraine. On really bad days I take Maxalt...on regular days I take Firocet. Both Meds help!

With COPD,although I have never been a sufferer of headaches I do believe that from time to time I will get what may be described as pressure at the back of the head which could be considered as a form of headache you have to consider that it may be high blood pressure as my GP told me several yrs ago that this would become part and parcel of one of the symptoms that you may begin to suffer from as we get older so age and COPD = high blood pressure =headache in all its forms.Motrin is Ibuprofen which is of course a pain killer and anti inflammatory paracetamol seems the only direct root to pain killers but I rarely take any form of pain killer myself ,this is only my experience and would not advise anything other than what your GP would advise.I would agree with jeanrinkhill that oxygen levels in the body does cause headaches but this comes back to my original comments that this is actually Blood pressure and not headaches caused by any other means
