Its amazing how many people have this same problem with the swelling of the feet and lockups in the feet and hands like charlie horses that I get. I found that some of the problem is being part or borderline diabetic, and what helps is I take magnesium pills...i buy at walmart 250mg, work the best, actualluy better that my doctor gives me. I can never get enough magnesium. It stopped the loss of feeling and wrenching of feet and hands. Twice a day.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member I am on Metoprolol for my pulmonary hypertension and I can really feel the difference when I don't take it. It stops the rapid heart beating and the chest pains. My heart valve is also allowing some back flo so the oxidation is not so hot. I tak a water pill when my morning weight is up two pounds the gain is water. Congestive heart failure happens with this extra fluid. My Cardio doc found the problems after extensive testing. The only thing I knoe is heart problems and COPD shorten ones life. Oh....I get those shoes with Velcro that can be adjusted for fat or skinny foot. My rings get tighter when holding fluid. Strange only my left side plays the water game.

I have the same problem with fluid retention around my heart and lungs. Same situation, Dr didn't want me on water pills because he said my kidney function was borderline. It's tough, but I've managed to limit my daily salt intake to 2000g. It's been almost 2-weeks and the swelling is gone and I feel 100% better
