I am on 3 ltrs oxygen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I don't feel like I need oxygen all the time except when I am exerting myself. When I am sitting or sleeping my oxygen's levels range between 90-94. Why use oxygen when my levels are in normal range?

I've never heard of anyone doing this. Oxygen tubing gets stiff and hard with age from the oxygen going through it especially the canela. I just replaced it.

Dickinson, AL

I can't sleep laying down is this part of COPD? I also have trouble after eating I can't walk from room to room with out getting out of breathe. I can be just sitting in one position and move just a little and start gasping for air. My intake of breathe some days is very little. is there something that the doctors at the VA hospital do for me so I to not get out of breathe?

A MyCOPDTeam Member

You might also try an anxiety drug as it help with the anxious feelings you get. Also propping up on pillows helps until you get acclimated. If you’re not on oxygen, it sounds like it should be.
