Did Extreme Intestinal Gas And Or Constipation Ever Contribute To Your SOB? Hugs Frank
Since our best breathing should take place from the lower abdomen area, anything which fills that area for an extended time should be avoided. For me, this was large meals like a T-bone steak dinner π€£ This would include other foods which take a long time to digest as well. Of course, carbonated drinks have CO2 in them which takes away Oxygen as well. There are many "Healthy Meals" menus in this site and the Internet which will help develop the right combination. Soft foods, smaller and frequent portions, and moister ingredients are all good goals to shoot for. ππ²π₯π₯π«π₯π₯π₯π

@A MyCOPDTeam Member Absolutely, many patients with COPD suffer from GERD, peptic ulcer, chronic irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhea, bloating,... Nobody knows for sure the causes, might be also attributed to ageing, poor control of their diet, systemic inflammation,... ps. As I'm concerned, I noticed that if I eat smaller portion of meals (healthy diet: as fibers, vegetables, white meat or fish, fruits, less sugar, no salt..), I'm doing much better to breath, digest, and stamina, as my stomach is less full and swallowed, therefor less pressing on lungs. Thanks for this important post! ππ§Έ
