Having some serious issues with my COPD, I also have Reflux Oesophagitis (had this for 53 years) which seems to be exacerbating my cough which is getting gradually worse since my last flare up two months ago, the cough hasn't gone away and I have now been told by my GP that I have Cough Syncope brought on by the incessant coughing I'm experiencing.
The nebuliser and asthma type pumps for the COPD is no longer working.
Has anybody else had this and what helped you to get through it?

Update,
111 booked me in at the hospital, the doctor checked me over and found my airways were restricted, I was prescribed Diazepam and 12 hours later I can breathe and the cough has pretty much subsided.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member If you are gasping/struggling for air abnormally, you might have an exacerbation/flare-up of your COPD, then you should call 911. Hugs!🧸
Do you have a blood pressure issue? Any heart issues? Since heart and lungs work together and your doctor can't fix it with the nebulizer or other treatments. You should see a cardiologist.
That is when my pulmonologist sent me to do, and I found out I had pulmonary hypertension as well as a blockage of one of my arteries.
